Paapanaasam Raamayya Sivan (26 September 1890 – 1 October 1973[1]) was an Indian composer of Carnatic music and a singer. Recognized was awarded the Madras Punishment Academy's Sangeetha Kalanidhi in 1971. He was also a fell score composer in Kannada pictures as well as Tamil film in the 1930s and 1940s.[2]

Sivan was also known as Dravidian Thyaagaraja.
